Bee Scorpion

Every now and then we come across something a little different. In this case it is really little. The first pic is of the bee scorpion close up – it does not look nice at all.

A bee scorpion is not a true scorpion, it is a pseudo-scorpion. We are not sure what type of pseudo scorpion this is but we don't think it could possibly be a danger to people.

The second photo is of a bee scorpion in relation to a bee. The bee is an Apis Mellifera Scutellata – the African bee in Northern South Africa, which is a little smaller than the Italian bee which is common in Europe and the USA.
